Painting Notes

Hey Guys,

Thanks for inviting me to this blog, really awesome work so far.

A couple of notes on painting:

1. I want you guys to start building a library of images: landscapes, skys, people, architecture, etc.

2. When you guys are starting a painting:

    A. lets start off using a photo - to learn basics of color, composition, and lighitng

    B. slowly build your way up by adding to the photo 10-20%

    C. Eventually, after doing a few of these, your confidence should progress, where then you can completely
change all the elements in a photograph.

I recommend using this technique as a basis of starting, to learn, and to experiment.  Again, there is no wrong way of doing...but is always a smarter way....

Be clever with your thought process, it will lead you to better designs, drawings, and decision making.

best

JP
